Disease Prevention and Management Framework for New BrunswickMessage from Deputy Minister Don Ferguson : As Deputy Minister of Health, I am happy to present the Chronic Disease Prevention and Management Framework for New Brunswick. Primary health care is a necessary foundation in the development of a self-sufficient and sustainable health-care system for New Brunswickers. The Provincial Health Plan 2008-2012 sets out six strategic pillars that formulated a vision and direction for our province. This framework will help move us from a "find it and fix it" approach to more of a "prevent it, find it and manage it" philosophy.
